Trains DO NOT run every day so please see our website for details, times and tickets.

Bitton Station

An original Midland Railway station painstakingly restored.  The Station building itself holds the Booking Hall and Booking Office from which you can purchase train tickets and seek further information. The Booking Hall holds many railway artefacts, posters and signs. Along with information about the Avon Valley Railway and the Bristol to Bath Railway line, this room provides a real wealth of information.

Locomotives

Since the early 1970s the Avon Valley Railway has amassed a large collection of locomotives. Some have already been restored and are in regular use, whilst others are either undergoing a meticulous overhaul or awaiting their turn for some ‘tender loving care’.

Station Shop

Situated in the old Ladies waiting room, just outside the Booking Hall at Bitton Station, our Station Shop has a large range of railway related items; from Thomas the Tank Engine to souvenirs and books.

The Buffet

A wide range of our homemade cakes, which have been attracting customers from across the West Country
