Bath Comedy Festival 2015 runs from Friday 27th March to Monday 6th April. This is the seventh year of the comedy festival and 2015 offers an exciting programme of events. The Festival’s events are mainly held in two venues; Bath Cricket Club and the Ring O Bells pub, plus some special one-off events elsewhere.
Bath Cricket Club sees five star shows such as Fred Macaulay, Ronnie Golden, Jess Robinson’s Mighty Voice and Arthur Smith Sings Leonard Cohen, a magic chat show from Danny Buckler and solo shows from Edinburgh favourites The Real MacGuffins, Carey Marx and Nick Doody. The club also hosts a literary event with Helen Lederer and her new comedy book ‘Losing It’
The Ring O Bells in Widcombe plays host to three solo shows per evening during the week, including Edinburgh previews and works in progress from seasoned performers alongside up-and-coming stars of the future including the likes of Mick Ferry, Diane Spencer, Pierre Hollins, Matt Green, Bec Hill and Gary Colman.
There are a whole host of free entry stand-up shows taking place at the Bath Brew House, featuring the likes of Ian Cognito and late night Wrong Comedy with Bobby Walsh. There are also events taking place at other venues around Bath, including The Rondo and Mission Theatres, St James Wine Vaults, The Bell, Assembly Inn and Porter pubs as well as Komedia and two comedy walks around the city.
