Bath Half Marathon – Sunday 4th March
Latest update: Due to the heavy snow Sunday’s Bath Half Marathon has been cancelled
The ‘Bath Half’ is one of the longest established and most popular city centre road events in the UK. It has been held every year since 1982, normally on the second or third Sunday in March. It is the largest charity fundraising event in the South West region and raised over £2.2 million for charity in 2016.
It is a fast and flat course along the picturesque streets of Bath. This, along with its suitability for all ages and abilities, make it an immensely popular event. The course is a two lap, 13.1 mile (21.1km), traffic-free route along both sides of the River Avon, starting and finishing in Great Pulteney Street; the widest and the grandest street in Bath.
The Bath Half starts at 11:00 and the Family Fun Run at 11:20.
The popular ‘Battle of the Bands’ competition will be returning, with local bands playing at nine locations around the course. Plus a BBC Radio Bristol presenter will be announcing at the start and finish.
