“A model of serious programming, top international performers, giving concerts in glorious buildings” Fiona Maddocks (The Observer). This was just one of the glowing reviews received by Bath Mozartfest in 2016.
Bath Mozartfest is back between Friday 10th to Saturday 18th November with an even more impressive programme of events, designed to appeal not only to the confirmed classical music fan but to attract a new audience too.
The highlight of this year’s nine day festival is a performance of the Mass in C minor in Bath Abbey by La Nuova Musica; who are one of the most exciting ensembles on the British early music scene.
You can look forward to other fantastic acts, such as the Takacs Quartet, the Nash Ensemble, the English Chamber Orchestra, Imogen Cooper, Sir András Schiff, as well as newcomers the Chiarosuro Quartet, the BBC Symphony Orchestra, resident at the BBC Proms, and a showcase concert featuring BBC New Generation Artists.
