There are lots of fun events and activities taking place in and around Bath during the Easter school holidays.

Here are our favourite Easter themed events that will be sure to keep the kids entertained:

Easter Eggstravaganza – The Holburne Museum

Date and Time:

Whatever the weather, be transported to sunnier climes with fun and creative activities inspired by Anthony Fry’s vibrant, colourful paintings:

Eastern Eggs – decorate a polystyrene eggs with lovely colours and jewel-like decorations

Peacock Easter Baskets – make a special basket to keep your Eastern Egg in – it makes a change from chickens!

Moroccan Lanterns – make a beautiful Moroccan style paper lantern

Patterned Elephants – decorate an elephant picture with a range of fun collage and printing materials

Easter fun day – Bath City Farm

Date and Time:

Tuesday 27th March, 12pm – 3pm

Entry:

Donations welcome, small charge for some activities (50p-£3)

Info:

Enjoy a day out at the farm with the family during Easter half term

Lots of crafty activities for children, face painting, bouncy castle, plus our well known Easter Trail to complete. Entry to the event is free, though there is a small charge for some activities. Our community cafe, The Trough, will be open and selling a selection of fresh homemade sandwiches and cakes. Bring a picnic blanket and make a day of it. All money raised at the event will go towards the running costs of the farm.

Easter family activities – Victoria Art Gallery

Date and Time:

Easter Eggstravaganza
Wednesday 28 March, 10.30am–12.30pm and 1.30pm–3.30pm

Create eggy crafts and cards. Ages 3 to 11.

Picture Me
Wednesday 4 April, 10.30am–12.30pm and 1.30pm–3.30pm

Use simple collage to create a historical portrait. Ages 3 to 11.

Free drop-ins, no need to book. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt – Prior Park Landscape Garden

Date and Time:

Friday 30 March to Monday 2 April, 10am and 3.30pm. The route and activities should take around 30-40 minutes

Entry:

£2.50 per trail plus admission charge (varies, see site for details)

The Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt will be running from Friday 30 March to Monday 2 April. Become a nature detective and follow bunny’s clues around the garden, then finish with a delicious chocolate treat. The garden will be carpeted with wild garlic and other spring flowers, so wander among glorious sights and smells as you search for the clues

Glow In The Dark Egg Hunt – Cheddar Gorge & Caves – Gough’s Cave

This Easter Gough’s Cave is getting some egg-cellent new additions to make your day out with us even more egg-citing.

The Easter Bunny must have made an unexpected visit to Cheddar because clusters of magical, glow in the dark eggs have appeared in all the nooks and crannies of the mysterious chambers in Gough’s Cave.

Grab a trail sheet and egg-splore the cave to crack the mystery code left by the Easter Bunny and as a reward you’ll get your paws on a tasty treat at the end of the eggs-pedition!

For a bit of egg-stra fun, keep your eyes peeled for Richard Gough’s magical golden egg!

Easter Holidays – Avon Valley Adventure & Wildlife Park

Easter may be early but we are ready for an Egg-cellent couple of weeks at Avon Valley Adventure & Wildlife Park. As usual we have hatched a plan to bring you the most Egg-ceptional day out for you and your family!

For Easter we have lots of Eggciting games to enjoy, including the Avon Valley Egg Drop Challenge. Will your egg survive the drop? There is a prize if it does! In fact we are going Egg-stravagent with the prizes as if you find our Golden Eggs you will win a large chocolate egg AND a return visit to the park! Decorate an egg to hang on our Easter Tree and follow the egg trail around the park.
