Here is a selection of just some of the special activities on offer:
Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs
7th December to 7th January
Mirror, Mirror, on the wall, which will be the best pantomime of all…?
It has to be Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs – a traditional family pantomime heading to Bath for only the third time ever in our illustrious history! Packed with comedy, slapstick, singing, dancing, beautiful costumes and plenty of audience participation, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is set to thrill West Country audiences.
Snow White has skin as white as snow and lips as red as rubies. No wonder a magic mirror declares her to be ‘the fairest of them all’. But not in the view of her wicked stepmother, who flies into a jealous rage and demands her death. The beautiful princess is forced to flee to safety at the home of the seven dwarfs. But who is the curious old crone selling apples door to door? And can true love’s kiss really save the day?!
Hilarious, glamorous and one of the UK’s best loved actresses Harriet Thorpe stars as The Wicked Queen. Best known as Carole in The Brittas Empire and Fleur in Absolutely Fabulous, her recent starring West End roles include Her Ladyship in The Dresser, Madame Morrible in Wicked, Mrs Lovett in Sweeney Todd and Tanya in Mamma Mia. Her films include Calendar Girls and AbFab: The Movie.
Snow White is played by Devon-Elise Johnson, direct from her Whatsonstage Award-nominated role as Anne in Half A Sixpence, one of the biggest West End hits of recent years.
Hi Ho! Seven short actors will be playing the magnificent seven; much loved comedian Jon Monie returns by huge popular demand to play Muddles; one of the best dames in the business, Nick Wilton, best known as Mr Lister in EastEnders makes a welcome return as Dame Dolly and the delightful dancers from Bath’s Dorothy Coleborn School will also be back.

This year’s concert by the City’s brass band will include the majestic and stirring Jubilee Overture and a musical tribute to World’s Greatest Storyteller, Roald Dahl. Well known tunes from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory and Matilda the Musical will set the scene to be followed by exciting arrangements of traditional and Christmas Carols and tunes. Bath Spa Training Band, which performs regularly in the local Community, will also be playing and joining with the main band. Our special guest soprano this year is Krystl Ride who will delight us all with a classical Aria and traditional Christmas songs. No concert would be complete without rousing audience participation of carols and well-loved Christmas songs.
Refreshments will be available during the evening and there will be a raffle in aid of Forever Friends (R.U.H.) Charity.
Bath Spa Band look forward to welcoming its supporters and all members of the local community to this evening of musical entertainment.
