Escape to a spooky Woolley this autumn half-term!

With Halloween approaching we’ve conjured up some fearsomely fabulous things to keep both children and parents happy this autumn half-term.

From pumpkin and lantern carving to creepy crawly crafts, from magical mocktails to painted talons. There’s even a Halloween party for the older children, so don’t forget to bring a scary costume (we have some spare ones if you forget).

In the Woolley Bears Den we’ve lots of activities for the little ones planned. For older children and parents there’s Halloween lantern carving with Eliza, Magical Mocktails with the Restaurant team, Terrific Towel Art with the Housekeeping team, Scary nails with the Spa, Glitter tattoos, chocolate bats and fireside marshmallow toasting with the Den team, and a relaxed walk with Rex and our Head Housekeeper, Dawn, in our beautiful 14 acres of autumnal gardens.

Haunted Haynes Week

Longleat House Ghost Tours

It’s long been rumoured that the Grey Lady, Lady Louisa Carteret – wife of the 2nd Viscount, still wonders the House in search for her murdered lover. You’ll hear all about Longleat’s ghostly residents but be careful not to disturb the dead. Who knows what might happen if you do – this tour isn’t for the faint hearted, join us if you dare.

Witch & Wizard School

Enrol your child into Avon Valley’s Witch & Wizard School this half term…

Headmistress Broomhilda will be waiting to greet them into the 2017 term.

Following her address and introducing the teachers, each pupil will be put into their school houses, given their very own witch or wizard hat, and then lead to their various classes by their Head of House.

The curriculum this year sees the ‘POTIONS’ class making Slime, and ‘SPELLS’ class training their wands with a level of magnetism never seen before! ‘BROOMSTICK SKILLS’ will of course take place after each pupil is given their very own broom to decorate. Will they successfully complete the flying course in order to receive their Flying Licence?
