The Jane Austen Regency Costumed Summer Ball is taking place on Saturday 21st June at The Guildhall in Bath

The Summer Ball is a costumed event with all ladies and gentlemen dressing in a Regency style or from the 18th Century.

The ladies wear dresses in an ‘Empire Line’ style, with a high waist which lies just below the bust. You can buy accessories or even whole outfits from the Jane Austen Centre in Bath.

Tickets are £57 each and include the entrance fee, dancing (no need to attend with a partner), entertainment and a light buffet with tea and coffee after the meal. Doors open at 6.30pm and dancing commences at 7.00 till 11.00pm.

For those wanting to learn some Georgian dance steps in advance, there is a Pre-Ball Dance Workshop earlier in the day which takes place in The Banqueting Room at the Guildhall from 2pm to 4pm. Tickets are £7 each and more information can be found here www.janeaustenfestivalbath.co.uk
