The Jane Austen Festival takes place in Bath between Friday 9th September through to Sunday 18th September and is a ten day celebration of all things Austen.
The festival is packed full with concerts, performances, food events, balls, promenades, talks, tours and workshops going on at different significant locations throughout the historic city.
The festival officially opens with the world famous, record breaking Grand Regency Costumed Promenade on Saturday 10th September. It is a procession through the streets with over 500 people all in 18th Century costumes taking park. People of all ages take part, with red coats, dancers and Bath’s very own town crier. Tickets are £10 and free for 16 year olds and under if with a participating adult in costume. All participants must be in costume but of course you can just go along on the day and watch the spectacle.

The festival’s chosen charity is The Forever Friends Appeal RUH cancer care campaign. £1 from every ticket sold is donated to this charity.
