Horseshoe is the largest of our three beautiful luxury self catering holiday cottages set in stunning Somerset countryside just 15 minutes drive from Bath. The views are wonderful and there is a large private garden, perfect for family parties or BBQs. This converted stable building has two large ensuite bedrooms, sleeping up to 6 and is renovated to a very high standard, complete with all modern conveniences including free WIFI . The cottage is all on one level and suitable for wheelchair users. With easy access to the Bath Park & Ride, we are also perfectly located for exploring the many tourist attractions including local pubs and Lavender Farm, Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole Caves, Wells, Stourhead House & Gardens and the nearby Longleat Safari Park.

Horseshoe has an open plan living area with a wood burning stove and a 300 year old brick hearth. In keeping with the traditional farmhouse feel of the properties it also has exposed brickwork around the windows and door frames, as well as original oak beams. Terracotta tiles have been used throughout the living area .
The Kitchen has a microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washer/ drier and an electric oven, as well as a large dining table allowing you to enjoy meals with family or friends.
Both bedrooms in Horseshoe Cottage are very spacious and have been fitted with super king size beds, which can be exchanged for two twins if required. Further single beds can also be added if needed. Both feature real oak floorboards and oak beams which mark the character of the property, and yet the decor has a contemporary feel to it. There are colour TVs with DVD players, radio alarms, wardrobes and dressing tables in both bedrooms. The second bedroom is west facing and has a full length glass door out to the car park, with a second wheelchair accessible ramp. The first ensuite bathroom has a corner bath and a separate corner shower with opening glass doors, plus a hand basin and toilet. There is a heated towel rail for added comfort and a west facing window. The second ensuite is a wet room with a shower complete with fitted pull down seat on the wall for disabled guests. The toilet has a pull down support for the less able person and hand basin with large mirror above. Both bathrooms have non slip floor tiles, wall mounted fan heaters and extractor fans. Horseshoe Cottage is South facing across the panoramic views and has a separate private terrace for sitting outside and a large private lawn.

There are two wheelchair ramps leading to the front and one of the side doors from the parking areas. Horseshoe is all on one level and open-plan, therefore suitable for wheelchair users as there is plenty of room.

There are several pubs nearby, including the famous Tucker’s Grave cider pub (in easy walking distance), the Faulkland Inn, about 15 minutes walk across the fields, offering excellent food and 2 pubs in Norton-St-Philip 5 minutes away, including the iconic George Inn. The Lavender Farm in Faulkland also has a café in the summer. There are two good local farm shops, both offering breakfast and lunch and one does dinner.
