It’s an ideal place from which to explore the countryside and the nearby cities of Bath, Bristol, Frome and Wells, as well as the Mendip Hills – an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the pretty North Somerset Coast.
There’s plenty to do right on our doorstep too, with walking and cycling, birdwatching and fishing, some of the country’s best restaurants, as well as our own Culinary School to enjoy.

We are pleased to offer two modern, stylish and comfortable double-bedded guest rooms within our calm, welcoming home-from-home bed and breakfast. Providing tasteful and informal accommodation in a peaceful village, this is the perfect place to unwind.
Our bed and breakfast is within easy travelling distance of the beautiful World Heritage City of Bath, Bristol, Frome and Wells, and the pretty North Somerset Coast, with beautiful country walks and cycle routes accessed right from our front door. We’re also fortunate enough to be in the Mendip Hills – an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Our first double-bedded guest room has a picturesque view across our meadow, gardens and fruit orchard, out toward the Chew Valley. This room is fully en-suite with a large double shower.
Our second double-bedded guest room overlooks side gardens, and has exclusive use of a separate large bathroom with shower and full length bath.
All our showers are aerated (raindance®) and power assisted.
Both rooms are located along a separate corridor off the main first-floor landing, and are sympathetically decorated using VOC and solvent free non-toxic ecologically friendly paints.

Our freshly prepared and imaginative breakfasts are tailored to what you like. Like our bedrooms, our breakfasts are all about quality. Our own delicious pressed crisp apple juice (when we’ve had a good crop!, otherwise organic juice); we bake our own bread (including gluten-free for coeliacs) using local organic flours and organic yeast; fantastic hand-roasted coffee from the lovely people at Monmouth Coffee; finest quality organic and directly traded teas from our local specialists Comins Tea House in Bath, Canton in Bristol, and Hampstead Tea, and single-estate specialists Lalani & Co.; home cured bacon and handmade sausages from free-range, outdoor bred, rare breed pork from Ivan Thompson at The Sausage Shed in Somerset; local organic free-range eggs; local handmade organic baked beans; a2 beta-casein rich organic unhomogenised whole milk, a2 beta-casein rich organic unhomogenised yoghurt and locally handmade organic Jersey cream butter; organic and fairtrade fresh fruit; organic mushrooms, tomatoes and herbs from our own gardens; wheat-free organic honey and vanilla granola from Bodymatter in Bristol; and organic cereals from The Paleo Food Co., Primrose’s Kitchen, and Rude Health; and by request we can provide Macsween vegetarian haggis; Sgaia artisan handmade Mheat and Nutcrafter Creamery artisan handmade ‘cheese’; organic Bonsoy and The Pressery non-dairy milk, and handmade organic stoneground coconut butter for vegetarians and vegans. We make our own jams, marmalade and preserves, as well as traditional high-fruit sugar free organic conserves. All of our tap water is automatically in-line Brita® filtered.
We are always able to tailor our breakfasts for specific dietary requirements, please give us advance notice.
We take great pride in sourcing our food ingredients from artisan producers of known provenance and of the best quality, maintaining the highest animal welfare standards. We do not knowingly use any genetically modified ingredients.
In the gardens at Meadow View we grow our own selection of: herbs; blackberries; blackcurrants; blueberries; cherries; cob nuts; damsons; figs; loganberries; plums; raspberries; five types of English apples and have an established walnut tree.
We use this great produce in our Culinary School as well as for our Bed and Breakfast guests.
