4 Percy Place is an exclusive B&B in a Grade II listed Georgian house in the City of Bath including two double bedrooms, a kitchen and one bathroom.
The house used to be the home of Rev. William Jay, one of the most eminent English Congregationalist preachers of Regency England who used to preach in the Argyle Chapel in Bath at the end of 1700s.
The original Georgian features of the building are enhanced by the stylish decor of the rooms such as antiques, trinkets and period furniture.
At the same time, a warm welcome, top quality service (such as a home cooked breakfast) and modern comforts like free wi-fi, make our guests feel at home and highly valued.
Both the town and the countryside are on our doorstep. We are just a few minutes walk from the city centre and are very close to the Kennet & Avon Canal at the back of Kensington Meadows. The view of the countryside and back garden from the back of the house is relaxing and inspiring.
Room price starting from £129.00 during the low season, £149.00 during the high season.

This room enjoys a stunning view of the countryside and has a suggestive atmosphere.
Its original period details, such as the sash windows and the tiled fireplace, are paired with stylish furnishings and trinkets that enhance its period character. Great attention has also been given to modern comfort: Wi-Fi, a king size bed with orthopaedic mattress and tea & coffee making facilities.
In classic Georgian style, there are three sash windows with a lovely view of Bath’s beautiful countryside and of our glorious back garden. Enjoy peaceful nights and wake up to the sound of singing birds.
Intimate and with a more modern look, this room features a pretty Georgian fireplace with one window facing the main road at the front of the house. The double glazed window makes for a light, quiet room and is decorated with a hand made curtain embellished by two little angels. Wi-Fi and tea & coffee facilities are available.
The bathroom (shares between the two rooms) is modern in period style and features a tryptic window with stained glass. It is full of light and has a bath with shower screen. It is conveniently located on the first floor next to the guest rooms. Fluffy Egyptian cotton towels, a hairdryer and toiletries are provided.
Percy Place is on London Road which leads to the city centre just off the A4. It is between Grosvenor Place and Kensington Place (which are two streets parallel to the London Road) and is opposite Zest Estate Agents which has a bright green sign.
Parking is free in the area, however there is a bus lane in front of the house so we suggest to park either in Grosvenor Place or Kensington Place, which are very close to the house.
Children of all ages are welcome.
A continental breakfast is included in the room price (toast, cereals, fresh fruit, jam and marmalade, fruit juice, tea and coffee) and there is also the option to order a cooked breakfast that is prepared in front of you and adjusted to your personal taste while you sip a cup of tea and listen to the radio.
With a passion for cooking, we only use selected ingredients sourced from local suppliers and, where possible, we cook everything from scratch. Our menu is varied and has been carefully thought out, however we welcome any requests and can cater for any dietary requirements (please give advanced notice).
