Bristol Bad Film Club Presents: ELVES

Komedia Bath

Bristol Bad Film Club return to Komedia Bath with the ultimate ‘so bad it’s good’ Christmas flick, ELVES!

After the near sell-out success of their debut screening at Komedia earlier this year, Bristol Bad Film Club return to Bath with everyone’s favourite Christmas classic, ELVES! This 1989 festive horror treat has become a cult classic among fans of the ‘so bad it’s good’ movie genre, with an over-the-top plot including a department store Santa, a Neo-Nazi scientist, and an army of hideous, genetically-created evil elves.

Komedia Bath are excited to be bringing the film, along with an introduction from Bristol Bad Film Club founder Ti Singh, to Bath’s bad-movie-loving population this December, with all of the organisation’s profits going to Action for Children to support vulnerable young people this Christmas.

To properly explain the plot of ELVES would probably take longer than the length of the film, so we’ll let the blurb from the original VHS cover sell it to you:

“Twas the night before Christmas and all through the town, blood-thirsty elves are about to get down! An innocent romp in the woods turns into a hellish nightmare when three young girls accidentally awaken an army of evil ‘Elves’ – genetically created by a Neo-Nazi mad scientist during World War II. These hideous creatures don’t work for Santa… they have a special mission: to mate with a virgin and take over the world as a pint-sized master race!

Dan Haggerty (“Grizzly Adams”) stars as Mike McGavin, a department store Santa who must expose this unholy force and stop the gruesome terror before the Elves destroy Christmas!

In many ways, it’s just like the original Nativity story. Join Bristol Bad Film Club for this one-night-only charity screening at Komedia Bath on Monday 10th December!
