After a sold out album release show in 2018, IDLES return to Komedia Bath for a very special DJ set, with live music from Squidge and Medway!
Fresh from a (much deserved) top 5 album chart position and relentless worldwide touring, they will be bringing all their favourite indie, punk and rock bangers to our fair city.
Formed in Bristol in 2008, IDLES have since shot to national and international fame. Last year’s ‘Joy As An Act Of Resistance’ album debuted at no.5 in the UK charts, breaking Rough Trade’s all-time record for most pre-orders and sales in day. The album went on to be crowned the second best reviewed record of 2018, according to review aggregator ‘Album of the Year’.
The band have been receiving 5 star reviews across the globe, with NPR writing “I am an IDLES addict. It’s like mainlining an uplifting and unifying assault on nationalism, racism, intolerance, and class inequality.”
They’ll return to Komedia Bath on Wednesday 6th March for a DJ set celebrating their favourite indie, punk, and rock tracks, accompanied by live music from explosive Bath rock four-piece Squidge, and female lead pop-punk band Medway.
