Jazz at the Vaults – Derek Nash (sax)

Solo sax, backed by the Jazz House Trio.

Derek has long been a member of the Jules Holland band, has led Sax Appeal for thirty years and fronts the funk/fusion band Protect the Beat.

Known for his energetic, vibrant and  passionate performances on all four saxophones. He regularly appears in the British Jazz Awards nominations in several categories and was nominated for Jazz Musician of the Year by the Global Music Foundation.

Playing a hundred gigs a year, Derek has been a featured soloist at Glastonbury. He has played with Eric Clapton, Amy Winehouse, Paul McCartney, Solomon Burke, Annie Lennox, Eddie Floyd, Sam Moore, Roger Daltry …. etc. etc.
