Halloween in Bath With its development dating back to AD 43, the UNESCO World Heritage city of Bath is the perfect place to celebrate the centuries old ‘All Hallows’ Eve – or Halloween as it is known today.

The origins of Bonfire Night go back to the time of James I and the 5th November 1605. A plot by a group of assassins, including the infamous Guy Fawkes, to blow up the Houses of Parliament and overthrow the King was discovered and foiled.

To celebrate, bonfires were lit throughout England and have been ever since on 5th November; with firework displays and effigies of Guy Fawkes being burnt.
