Established in a building dating back to 1880 and once used as a Victorian Grocers shop, Devonshire House has been fully renovated into the stylish Bed and Breakfast it is today.  Within a twenty minute walk of the city, on a major bus route into the city, Devonshire House offers a convenient base to explore the city and surrounds.  Local owners Chris and Louise are on hand to give as much or as little advice as you want, to make your stay even more enjoyable.

Each room is individually decorated, en suite, with smart tv, beverage tray, fluffy white towels and plump feather duvets (do tell us before your stay if you need hypo allergenic).  Two doubles, a twin and a triple bedded room, plus a holiday cottage which sleeps up to four are available.

A lounge is for guest use, with squashy sofas, up to date magazines and the local paper, relax after your day or plan the next one with all the information and leaflets to hand.

The choice to book a room only rate or include a continental breakfast, is yours.  We serve a substantial continental breakfast on a tray outside your room at a chosen time, between 8 and 9 am.  Cereals, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, warmed croissant or freshly baked rolls are provided along with chilled yogurt, juice, butter and jams.
