Bath is one of top UK holiday destinations

Stay in Bath > News > News > Bath is one of top UK holiday destinations

Bath has been named the 6th best-rated destination to visit in 2019 by users of TripAdvisor in their 2019 Traveller’s Choice Awards. So, this year, rather than worry about visas and air travel, why not stay in the UK and head to Bath? Especially as it is in the top ten UK cities to visit in 2019!

London came out top of the list, moving up a place from last year, which is being accredited to the royal wedding as the site saw a surge in bookings for royal-focused experiences, such as visiting Buckingham Palace and seeing the Changing of the Guard.

If visitors want a royal experience, the sixth place on the list, Bath is a great choice, it was declared a city by royalty and the Royal Victoria Park and Royal Crescent were both named to honour Queen Victoria when she came to the city as a teenager and of course, there are the legends of Prince Bladud, father of King Lear who is said to have been the first person to have bathed in the naturally hot springs.

Click here to see what events are going on in the city in the coming year and here to see a whole host of properties that are available for visitors. Staying at an independent guesthouse will let you experience Bath like a local and prove that it deserves its spot in the top ten.
