Fosse Farmhouse in Wiltshire has been nominated for the prestigious Eviivo Quirkiest B&B Award. For those of you that know your Japanese anime, or just keep up with the news, you’ll know all about this charming B&B near Castle Combe in the Cotswolds. It features in the popular KINMOZA! the next series of which is now in pre-production. Anime fans from all over the world make the pilgrimage to Fosse Farmhouse to stay in the rooms they have seen recreated for television!

Kinmoza! (or Kin-iro Mosaic) is an animated TV series adapted from a manga of the same name. It tells the story of Shinobu Omiya, a Japanese schoolgirl who makes friends with a girl called Alice Cartelet (who lives at the animated version of Fosse Farmhouse) during an exchange trip to England .The Quirkiest Place To Stay Award recognises the unique and individual character of owners, their properties and the experiences they offer. The winner of this award will offer a truly quirky experience for guests – think unusual buildings, conversions, themed interiors, or hands-on experiences.

The award ceremony will take place in London at Quaglino’s on 16th October, but Fosse Farmhouse owner, Caron Cooper, won’t get a chance to attend the prestigious ceremony:

“I’m so disappointed to miss this important event, however, I will be in Tokyo on October 16th as I am meeting the animation company GENCO regarding another series of the anime KINMOZA!”

I think we can all agree, that’s not a bad reason to miss the award ceremony!

Caron continued: “Fosse Farmhouse is the only Stay in Bath member shortlisted for the Eviivo awards, so let’s hope I win!”

Find out if Caron and Fosse Farmhouse are successful on 16th October, in the meantime, you can find out some more about the awards and the other nominees here. If you’ve yet to see Fosse Farmhouse starring in Kinmoza, you can watch the series on Crunchyroll.
