We might be a bit biased, but honestly, Bath is beautiful whatever the weather, there is something about those honey-coloured buildings that just seems to glow come rain or shine. However, we also know that there is nothing worse than going out for a day trip or going on holiday and the weather turning. Don’t worry though, there are plenty of things you can do in Bath on a rainy day.
- Do a spot of shopping
If it’s a spot of drizzle, exploring Bath’s many shopping areas isn’t too bad. Head to Walcot Street for some unique items and stop off in a coffee shop or two to dry off. - Go to the museum
Bath is full of amazing museums all within walking distance of each other and many of them are free which is even better. Learn about everything from Bath’s Roman connections, fashion, art and more. - See a show
Hide from the rain for a few hours by catching a show at the Theatre Royal or at Komedia. Both have active events calendars and the box office can sell you last minute tickets for various shows. - Go bowling or trampolining
Bath’s Sports and Leisure Centre has everything you could want whether it is raining or not. The centre has a bowling alley as well as a trampoline park for you to while the hours away in. - Hit up the spa
Well, it is a spa town, so we couldn’t ignore the fact that there are businesses all over the city offering spa treatments, including the Thermae Bath Spa, which is home to Britain’s only natural thermal spa.
So, there you go, if you find yourself in the city and the heavens open, add a few of these to your itinerary.
