Award-winning comedian, Russell Howard, will host a one-off show in Bath to raise money for the Bath Rugby Foundation.
Bath Rugby Foundation is the charitable arm of Bath Rugby and works to empower young people through sports and activities. They regularly hold fundraising events that go to support young people in and around Bath. The funds raised by Russell’s latest show will also go to help local youth succeed and create a better future.
The show, Russell Howard and Friends, will be at the Theatre Royal on Saturday, 13th July at 7.30pm.
Talking about the show, Russell said: “Bath Rugby Foundation is an amazing charity which is using the power of sport to change young lives every day in Bath.”
Russell Howard, who grew up in neighbouring Bristol is one of the UK’s best-loved comedians, he makes regular appearances on panel shows, such as Mock the Week, as well as writing and starring in his own shows, Russell Howard’s Good News and the Russell Howard Hour, as well as performing stand up around the world. This will be his fourth show for the Bath Rugby Foundation.
Lynne Fernquest, the Chief Executive of Bath Rugby Foundation, told reporters: “ “Russell has been a great supporter of Bath Rugby Foundation over the years and we are so pleased that he has agreed to give up his valuable time for our charity once again. Russell’s show promises to be one of the highlights of the summer in Bath and we know, from past experience, that the tickets will be in high demand when they go on sale. Our thanks to Russell and his team, as well as the generous team at The Theatre Royal Bath who have done so much to arrange this comedy show.”
