Three Abbey Green Tourism Awards Finalists

Stay in Bath > News > News > Three Abbey Green Tourism Awards Finalists

Three Abbey Green is Bath’s only guesthouse to have been shortlisted for two awards from the Bristol and Bath Tourism Awards, as well as being highly commended in another category.

Many amazing businesses and organisations in Bath have been featured among this year’s nominations, but the only guesthouse to appear on the list is Three Abbey Green, Bath’s most centrally based B&B. Located right in the heart of the city, there are so many tourist attractions, restaurants and independent shops for the guests to explore during their stay.

About Three Abbey Green

Three Abbey Green is a family run business headed up by Nici and Alan, with founder of the business and grandmother, Sue, still working at the B&B. Nici and Alan’s son Finlay and dog, Bear, are also members of the team. Being a family run business, part of their ethos is to welcome all guests of any age, including those with limited mobility. It is no wonder then that they are finalists in the Access and Inclusivity Award category and highly commended in the Age-Friendly Tourism Business category.

Inclusivity and accessibility is important to the team at Three Abbey Green. The property has two ground floor rooms in the main house, with bathrooms that have been specially designed to help guests with mobility needs. All the staircases throughout the house have handrails. Guests with children are also well catered for, no matter how young. There are two family suites, allowing children to have a separate room. Guests with dietary requirements need not miss out on their award-winning breakfasts either. They routinely carry breakfast stock for most dietary requirements and are happy to speak to guests about their needs.

Not content with this accolade, Three Abbey Green is also a finalist for Bed and Breakfast and Guesthouse of the Year. The only Bath-based guesthouse to have made it to the finals! Again, Three Abbey Green appearing on this list isn’t a surprise considering their award-winning status. They are already a four-star gold award property and have accolades from Visit England, Trip Advisor and previously from the BBS tourism Awards.

The finalists will discover if they have been successful on 15th November. The lavish awards ceremony is taking place at the Apex Hotel in Bath. The awards are being hosted by Laura Rawlings, from BBC Radio Bristol.

Good luck to the Three Abbey Green team!
